The versatile GTA 40 is STIHL’s first battery-powered professional pruner. Designed for use on the ground or in the air, this tool is ideal for tree and shrub care as well as the processing of timber. (Please note, this tool is only certified for aerial use by trained arborists.)

Part of the AS System of STIHL cordless tools, the GTA 40 set comes complete with an AL 5-2 high-speed charger and 2 x AS 2 lithium-ion batteries. These powerful, lightweight batteries ensure long life and maximum performance with integral LED charge-level indicator for added peace of mind at the push of a button.

Thanks to its powerful EC engine and ¼” PM3 saw chain, the GTA 40 guarantees powerful cuts, quick results and a clean cutting pattern; whilst its variable chain speed allows full control of the cutting speed during use.

Further features include splash-water protection, a sprocket cover with side-mounted chain tensioning and automatic chain lubrication, as well as a tool-free chain oil tank and comfortable, rubberised handles for easy and accurate control.

The set comes with an attachment ring that lets you hook the tool onto a belt to prevent the tool from falling during climbing work. Alternatively, a model-specific holster for quick access during work can be purchased separately.

Please be aware that the GTA 40 has been designed for use with 2 hands – and thanks to the rocker on both sides of the tool, it can be used by both right and left-handed users.
